I am a pharmacist with a PhD in skin biomechanics and tissue engineering from École Centrale de Lyon, and an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil. For more than ten years I have worked at the interface between beauty brands and testing laboratories, first in Brazil and then in France, and I set up and led Kosmoscience Europe from 2018.

What I saw from that position is simple: most evidence programmes fail before the first volunteer is recruited, because nobody asked what decision the results were meant to unlock.

What I bring

• Study design across skin, hair, scalp and photoprotection
• Sunscreen performance assessment, as an expert member of the Australian Sunscreen Council
• Translation of target claims into evaluation strategies, and of results into wording that survives regulatory and competitive scrutiny
• A cross-market perspective — Europe, Brazil and beyond — in English, French and Portuguese

Independence and transparency

This practice operates in my own name and is distinct from my role at Kosmoscience. Three rules apply to every engagement:

• No client is ever required to use Kosmoscience, or any other laboratory I recommend.
• Partner selection is documented against explicit criteria you can audit.
• Any potential conflict is disclosed in writing before the engagement starts.

My only interest is the quality of the decision you make.
